In our lithographic workshop, both beginners and advanced makers can get to work to produce their own beautiful lithographs.

Printing demonstrations
Would you like to know how this centuries-old printing technique exactly works ? During a printing demo in our lithographic workshop, you will learn more about stone printing.
Lithography is a graphic technique: a designer draws on a flat limestone and makes use of the repelling working between ink, water and grease. The literal meaning of litho (Greek) is stone. Lithography is also called “stone printing” and it is a form of planographic printing.

Get creative and apply for one of our workshops stone printing! You will learn the basics of this centuries old craft at a beginner’s level.
Create your own design in our studio, enjoy a delightful lunch and print your own drawing on a traditional stone press witg the guidance of a professional.

Our facilities
Apart from printing demos and workshops the museum studio is also used for creative projects.
The Dutch Museum also regularly cooperates with Dutch and international artists: stone printing is very much in demand for making graphics in small circulation.
