Lesson plan: Treasures of the Museum
secondary education

In North Brabant, there are many museums with the most diverse collections. What all these museums have in common, is that they are treasure troves of objects that are worth preserving for one reason or another. But what exactly is value? That’s what the project ‘Treasures of the Museum’ is all about.

The curriculum consists of 3 parts:

  1. Introductory film on the history of lithography.
  2. Printing demonstration by professional printers in our workshop.
  3. Guided tour of the museum by a museum employee and a teacher, in the course of which the students search for answers to questions about Technology, History and Art. This part of the tour may lead to a presentation by the students in the lessons Technique or Cultural and Artistic Education (CKV).

In consultation with the teachers, we adapt the tour with questions and answers to the target group in advance, so that the tour will be suitable for students of all visiting classes.

Free admission

As part of this teaching programme, secondary schools in North Brabant can visit the museum free of charge.
