*BESTSELLER* J. Sinkeldam | “Cacao” Fernand Touissant

The lithograph “Cacao” by Jan Sinkeldam is a version of an original and probably never printed poster design (gouache) by the Belgian painter Ferdinand Toussaint (1873-1956).

Jan Sinkeldam (1930) is a graphic artist in heart and soul.

For the lithograph “Cacao” (for the film project “The world in colour”), he made an outline drawing, which was transferred to nine different stones. Sinkeldam then applied the drawing to each of the bricks for the relevant colour. Under the supervision of master printer Gertjan Forrer, the stones were printed colour by colour.

Nine colours in total complement this piece of craftsmanship. This work by Jan Sinkeldam has for good reason been praised as “today unique in the world”.
