Lieuwe van Gogh, born in Amsterdam in 1991, is a direct descendant of Vincent van Gogh. His father was filmmaker Theo van Gogh, murdered by a muslim extremist in 2004. Lieuwe started painting from a young age and graduated at the Mix Art Academy when he was just 16. Now: talented, the true young Van Gogh has already become a Trademark – to conquer our planet.

Lieuwe van Gogh continues on his own path. An old Dutch tile wisdom says: “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”. The Young Van Gogh now paints and lithographs with the same obsession as Vincent then. His work is powerful, colorful and expressive. ‘A Rising Star’ – whose art is rapidly increasing in value, with the signature: Van Gogh.

The lithograph SUSHI is created for the Dutch Museum of Lithography. Unknowingly, Lieuwe used the exact same technique as Vincent when he created ‘The Potato Eaters’ in 1889. Using lithographic tusche, he scratched the image of the shark meticulously on to the printing stone.
