A world without computers?
In the Dutch Museum of Lithography, you can discover how artworks and advertising posters were created in the past, thanks to the technique of lithography. In the museum and workshop, you will learn all about this extraordinary invention, from 1798 to the present day: did you know that without lithography, there would be no computers or smartphones?
Treasure hunt through the museum
Go on a treasure hunt through the museum with your children! During the treasure hunt, children search for questions that can be found throughout the museum.
The treasure hunt is free of charge and can be requested at the museum desk (including a gift after the search is completed)!
Or watch how a real lithograph is printed on a centuries-old printing press in our workshop! Some machines used to be operated by hand, and later electric presses were invented.
In the museum exhibition, you can also see the very large printing machines that are still used by artists today.
Free entrance up to 12 years!
In short, in the Dutch Museum of Lithography there is much to experience and learn for young and old! Admission is free for children up to and including 12 years of age.
